The TLIX5054 - Comply with Biosecurity Border Clearance is offered as part of the TLI50816 Diploma of Customs Broking via our learner management system - ComplianceNetFTA.
NOTE: The TLIX5054 Course is a prerequisite to obtain 19.1 NCCC and 19.2 AEPCOMM accreditation. Accreditation will only be granted by the Department of Agriculture & Water Resources to licenced customs brokers and approved self reporting importers.
Delivery of the unit is entirely within an e-learning self paced environment which will be assessed through a range of answers and exercises that are positioned within each of the modules.
This unit of competency is nationally recognised with Vocational Educational Training (VET) and we have a statutory requirement to formally record your registration and completion of this unit of competency.
Freight & All students participating in a Nationally Recognised Training course must provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI) (Student Identifiers Bill 2014). The aim of the USI is to help keep your training records and results together in an online account. ACIF is required to verify your USI in accordance with Section 14 of the Student Identifiers Act 2014.
To register you must download the following forms, obtain your USI and email to Caroline Zalai On receipt of this formal documentation you will be invoiced for the course. TLIX5054 - Comply with Biosecurity Border Clearance provides participants with the necessary knowledge and tools to assess documentation and lodge import declarations to manage biosecurity risk according to the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources requirements.
A successful passing of this unit will achieve a "Statement of Attainment" which is a pre-requisite to become an accredited person for the Class 19.1 Non-commodity for Containerised Cargo Clearance (NCCC) and Class 19.2. Automatic Entry Processing for Commodities (AEPCOMM) Approved Arrangements.
Comply with Biosecurity Border Clearance - TLIX5054 is a unit of competency within the TLI50816 Diploma of Customs Broking and available as a standalone unit.
After successful completion of this unit of competency, you are required to apply to the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources for your NCCC and AEPCOMM accreditation. Please email your request to the Broker Engagement Team for assessment and provide the following:
- A completed NCCC and AEPCOMM registration form “Change of Details Form for Approved Arrangement Classes 19.1: Non-commodity for Containerised Cargo Clearance and 19.2: Automatic Entry Processing for Commodities”
- A copy of the certificate of Statement of Attainment for TLIX5054 which will be posted to you by ACIF
- Your customs broker licence number (if applicable)
If requirements are satisfied, you will receive an email from the department confirming your accreditation number to allow lodgement of entries.
